Tis the season to sparkle and the Shops at Crestwood certainly do! Located on 55th Street between Oak and Brookside Blvd., the shopping center was built by JC Nichols in 1922 to complement the residential area. In 2000, seven business owners in Crestwood created the Crestwood Shops, LLC and purchased the property from Highwood Properties.
This past summer, a complete overhaul of the infrastructure took place with the addition of new sidewalks with pavers outlined in concrete. Tree wells were installed bordered with wrought iron fencing. New trees are expected this spring.
The Crestwood Shops include Aixois, Café Europa, Charlecote, Crestwood Flowers, Frankly Basic Boutique, George (a lifestyle store), Hudson & Jane, O’Home, Pear Tree, Peruvian Connection, Salon Latifa, Tea Market, Underdog Wine Co., and Windermere & Bergamont, Ltd.
