Congratulations to the McDonald’s restaurant at 6406 Troost Avenue for being awarded the Southtown Sparkle Award for May. Major remodeling was completed recently at this very busy location; while continuing to serve their customers non-stop. Owner Ralph King pulled off a feat of magic and totally transformed the entire building, inside and out, at the tune of approximately $750,000.
The exterior of the building has been updated to the current “model” being used by the McDonald’s franchise. Be sure to notice the “eyebrow” arch that is now adorning new locations. Improvements also include the addition of handicap accessibility that runs to the sidewalk and adjoins the new foot pads that assist the visually impaired. A complete landscaping overhaul is scheduled in the upcoming weeks as well. Inside you will enjoy a completely changed dining room; televisions, new interior doors and renovated restrooms. Mr. King has proudly owned and operated this location since 1990 and currently has 65 employees. Thank you for adding to the Sparkle of Southtown!
