Georgie Porgie’s Café Sparkles!

The Southtown Environment and Public Works committee selected Georgie Porgie’s Café, 7044 Troost Ave. for the December Sparkle Award. Approximately three months ago, owners Sasha and Elizabeth Baldwin opened up this new Café after making renovations both inside and out.

Previously, Georgie Porgie’s was located in the Waldo area for nine years. The restaurant features home cooked breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It has an old fashioned 50’s and 60’s atmosphere with very friendly service. You can get a feeling of the atmosphere by driving by and noticing the nostalgia items on the fencing. Walk inside and be surprised as you go back in time! The new picket fencing adds to the Café’s charm. Georgie Porgie’s Café is a family-owned and operated business with the owners living in the neighborhood. Currently, the restaurant is open from 8am to 2pm daily. There are plans to add a wine and beer license. Once received, the hours will be extended.

Congratulations to Georgie Porgie’s for the investment made in Southtown. If you haven’t been to the Café, now is the time to check it out!
