The Southtown Environment and Public Works committee selected Georgie Porgie’s Café, 7044 Troost Ave. for the December Sparkle Award. Approximately three months ago, owners Sasha and Elizabeth Baldwin opened up this new Café after making renovations both inside and out.

Congratulations to the Hogan Preparatory Academy’s Football Team. For the first time in Hogan Prep history, the football team advanced all the way to the State Championship game after a season of 12 wins and 1 lose. Unfortunately, Hogan lost the State Championship game to Blair Oaks of Jeff.
“Open Season,” the animated feature film taking theaters by storm, is now open at the Zoo’s Sprint IMAX® Theatre. “Open Season” features a 900-pound domesticated grizzly bear and a scrawny, one-horned mule deer that end up stranded together in the woods during hunting season.
