Southtown Council is hosting our second public affairs forum of 2018 Tuesday, March 27th from 6 to 7:30 pm at the Rockhurst Community Center, 5401 Troost Avenue. The forum is open to the public and anyone interested is invited to attend. Councilman Taylor will discuss citywide and 6th District project updates and the proposed 1% PIAC sales tax renewal on the April ballot. Former Councilwoman Jan Marcason will discuss the proposed street car expansion to UMKC / 51st Street and the associated district vote. DeAnn Gould-Lancaster with H&R Block will discuss major changes to the tax code in 2018 and considerations residents and businesses should make.

The forums are intended to help us keep our community informed of major issues and initiatives, to better connect businesses and neighborhoods to our elected officials and key community leaders, and to discuss other topics impacting our community. They’re also a great way for all of us to share local priorities with those that represent us.

We hope to see you Tuesday!
