St. Peter’s Meyer Fest is Back

St Peter's Meyer FestOn October 10, St. Peter's Meyer Fest Carnival and Block Party will be back, bigger and better for 2015. It is all about connecting with neighbors and celebrating community at this all-day event. Named after Meyer Boulevard, Meyer Fest is designed to build community and showcase the wonderful Southtown neighborhoods surrounding St. Peter's Parish and School.

The Carnival has been expanded and will run from 9 a.m.to 3 p.m. Children's wristbands, all-inclusive this year, are $15. There are bigger games and activities. A new addition for 2015 is a teen Battle of the Bands, beginning at 1 p.m.

The Block Party begins at 6 p.m. to start off an evening of live music and dancing. This year's band line-up is The Bryan Hicks Quartet, The Rainmakers, and Boogie Wonderland. Tickets purchased before October 3rd are $15.

Food trucks will again be part of the event. This year's assortment includes: Big D'z Dogz, Kona Ice, Carmen's Bites, Plantain District, and Pie Hole. Tickets and more information are available online through the event website, www.MeyerFestKC.com.
