KC BizCare, which opened June 1, is a free resource, advocacy, and information center for owners of new and existing businesses operating within the City of KC. The center, located at 1118 Oak St., provides business owners with information and assistance in understanding and complying with city, state and federal requirements for operating a business. Some of the specific services that will be provided include:
• Business-specific “roadmaps” for opening a business
• Information and referrals to City departments, county, state and federal government agencies and partnering organizations involved in regulation or assistance to businesses
• Guidance and assistance in navigating the City’s regulatory licensing, permitting, & approval processes
• Act as a liaison between business owners and City departments to coordinate business related concerns
• Public access to City computers for customers to use for looking up property and zoning information, accessing records and submitting applications on-line
The Business Customer Service Center is an extension and expansion of the services previously offered through the Business Assistance Center.
