Troost Avenue Titans and TroopersTroost Avenue “Titans” and “Troopers” hit the streets the first week of January. Titan Security (Troost Ave. Titans) is busy providing both vehicle and foot patrol along Troost Ave from 46th to 75th Street and 63rd St. from Rockhill to Pener Plaza. The patrol officer serves as an ambassador and a positive welcoming advocate for the Troost Ave. CID. He will interact with local businesses and tenants and help with communication and support. Extra services that are available include motor assistance such as jumpstarts, vehicle doors unlocks and changing flat tires.
Joining the Titans will be the Troost Ave. Troopers. Moonlight Sweeping is taking on the task of “tidying up Troost Ave.” Crews will be removing debris and trash items from the district. The City’s sign ordinance will be enforced with the removal of all signs in the right-of-way areas. Graffiti on public structures will also be removed. It will be exciting watching the changes and improvements along the Troost Ave. corridor.
