Spring has sprung and new businesses are popping up all over. At 63rd and Oak Streets, you can find some new additions and some more are expected to join J’Adores and 63/Bistro. On the Oak Street side, Season and Square, opened a month ago and then Brookside Betty’s recently opened next door to Itsy Bitsy Bums. A new bakery is expected later this year in the vacant automotive building on the southeast corner of 63rd and Oak. And the newest news– the vacant Blockbuster Video building has been sold and plans for a major remodel are expected. Stay tuned for more details.
Along the Wornall Road corridor, Tropical Snois making a big hit in the neighborhood at 222 W. 85th Street, just east of Wornall Rd. They are joining the new coffee shop, Second Best Coffee at 228 W. 85th St. On 75th Street, Pizza Manifesto is open for business at 505 W. 75th St. The new Nutrition Station is expected to open soon at 524 W. 75th St. Irezumihas found a new home in the vacant Light Shop at 7406 Wornall Rd., and is joined by K9 Closet, a pet boutique.
In the 6700 block of Troost Avenue, you will see new construction of senior housing underway and next door to the south is the vacant office building being converted into housing for seniors. More information to come.
