The Southtown Beautification Committee selected Kindred Hospital Kansas City, 8701 Troost Ave. for the April Sparkle Award. The hospital is a 167-bed long term acute care hospital specializing in the treatment of medically complex patients with multi-system failure. Included in the hospital’s 167 beds are a 6-bed Intensive Care Unit; 10-bed pulmonary unit; and 20-bed telemetry unit. Kindred Hospital provides services to adult and geriatric patients only. They do not have an Emergency Room. Emergency patients should go to Research, Research-Brookside Medical Center, or other close hospitals for emergency services.
Kindred Hospital Kansas City has been in operation for 16 years and employs 285 people. Additional services to hospital care include Hemodialysis, Laboratory, Nutritional services, Pharmacy, Radiology, Rehabilitation Services, and Social Services. The grounds of the Hospital area in “sparkling” condition and improvements are continually being made to the property.
