Attention bus riders! You can now ride the bus to visit the Kansas City Zoo. Thanks to the diligent efforts of the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA), the # 53 Armor-Swope Park route added the Zoo to its stops between 9:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. on weekdays and 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekends. "KCATA bus service to the Zoo's front door is perfect for our guests and employees who use public transportation. It's also a great green option to aid us in our commitment to conservation," commented Randy Wisthoff, Executive Director/CEO of the Kansas City Zoo. For an added green alternative, buses have a bike rack for those guests who want to bike to the Zoo and take the bus home or vice versa.
