How Can You Help Gillis Students?

School supplies are needed! Gillis serves more than 900 families each year with counseling, education, and social services. When students are no longer able to function in a normal classroom because of severe emotional disturbance, schools send them to Gillis for treatment and education. More than 90% of the students come from low-income families. More than 80% make enough progress in treatment to return to the normal school.

Types of supplies needed include 2"/3" binders, children's story books, eraser caps, erasers, pencil cases, tape, white glue, construction paper, folders, glue sticks, index dividers, labels, markers, paint tubes-small bottles, paperclips, pencil bags, pencil grips, pencils, water color paints, squeeze paints, poster board, blue pens, black pens, red pens, permanent markers, pocket folders, rulers, school boxes, scissors-round & regular, sharpies, rolls of white/colored paper, dry erase markers, and highlighters.

You can drop off the supplies at 8150 Wornall Rd or contact Katie Culbertson at 816-508-3556 for more info.
