Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony

[img_assist|nid=750|title=Lighting Up Brookside|desc=|link=node|align=left|width=280|height=210]The Brookside Tree Lighting Ceremony takes place on thursday, December 1, 6 p.m. at 63rd St. and Brookside Plaza. New this year: Historic Walking Tours of Brookside conducted by the Wornall House Museum staff and author LaDene Morton, at 5:30pm and 6:45pm. Donations of $5 are suggested for the tours. Participants will gather by the Christmas tree.

The Lighting Ceremony will feature tunes from the Holiday Trombones, sounds from the St. Peter’s Children’s Choir, a special appearance of Father Christmas, treats from Price Chopper and lots of drawings of gifts and prizes from the Brookside merchants. Watch for clues on the Brookside Facebook page- “BrooksideKC” and enter the Brookside Scavenger Hunt to win great prizes.
