Tis the season to sparkle and the Shops at Crestwood certainly do! Located on 55th Street between Oak and Brookside Blvd., the shopping center was built by JC Nichols in 1922 to complement the residential area. In 2000, seven business owners in Crestwood created the Crestwood Shops, LLC and purchased the property from Highwood Properties.

Congratulations to Dialysis Clinic, Inc (DCI), 6530 Troost Ave., for  being selected the Southtown October Sparkle recipient. DCI added a new sparkle to Southtown with the beautiful landscaping around the building and successful efforts to get grass to grow in troublesome spots.

The annual directory of the Southtown, Waldo, and Brookside businesses is coming hot off the press this month.  If you are receiving this newsletter, you will be receiving a copy in the mail.  Feel free to stop by the Southtown Planning Center to get additional copies.  With a print run of more than 8,000, we have plenty to share.
