The Southtown Beautification Committee selected Rockhurst University as the February Sparkle Award recipient. As part of the University's master plan, six reflection sites are being installed throughout the campus to provide intriguing spaces to experience the core values of Rockhurst. A statue of St. Ignatius Loyola, founder of the Jesuit Order, was installed along with a garden and fountain near Greenlease Library. This Centennial Year gift from the Jesuit Community is in recognition of the many Jesuits who have lived and worked at Rockhurst in the last 100 years. It symbolizes the core value of reflection and discernment.
