The Southtown Council Environment and Public Works Committee selected Premier Engineering Consultants, LLC, 7427 Troost Ave. for the January Sparkle Award. In operation for three years, this engineering firm moved into the vacant Spotlight Railroad building in 2007.
The building was completely gutted and improved inside and out. Offices, conference room, kitchen, and restrooms were added; the heating, cooling, electrical, and lighting systems were replaced; and new paint/stucco, windows, and signage were installed. After digging a 20 foot trench around the perimeter and installing pipes, the drainage problem was abated!
Premier Engineering Consultants provides civil and structural engineering services along with project management for government, business, and individual clients. They were involved with the Sprint Center and are currently working on the Arrowhead project. Other jobs have included office buildings, warehouses, and even a power plant. According to owner Raymond Okuagu, “We look out for what is most important to the client and typically provide multiple solutions to the program. That way, the client can select the solution that best meets their needs.”
The Southtown Council extends their thanks to Premier Engineering Consultants for the re-investment made on Troost Ave. and for helping to make Southtown sparkle!
