November 19, 6-7pm: Arm Yourself! Educate Yourself! Safety Program. Learn personal safety tips and techniques, avoid dangerous situations & how to get out of them. Secure your home on your own, survive an auto emergency, and learn what safety tools are on the market to keep you safe and your home secure.
December 17, 6-7pm: Hidden Dangers in Your Home. Radon, mold and lead are major threats to your health that may exist in your home. In collaboration with the local US Environmental Protection Agency partners, you will hear about project ideas, efforts and results of National Radon Action Month (January). They will discuss planned activities and events to increase awareness or radon and other dangers, promote testing and mitigation. Presenters include EPA, Children’s Mercy Hospital and Blue Hills Community Services.
