Singles Available for Community Service (SACS) announced it volunteered a total of 3,568 hours for 74 different non-profit organizations throughout the KC metropolitan area in 2009. The total hours break down to 152 members participating in 159 separate events, or an average of 13 events per month.
Non-profit organizations rely on SACS for a variety of fundraisers, special activities, shows and general help with manpower tasks. Duties at events range from sorting food and clothing for the homeless, monitoring silent auctions, preparing meals and assisting with environmental tasks.
SACS have been a wonderful asset volunteering at the Brookside Art Annual and the Waldo Fall Festival! SACS is a KC-based non-profit organization of single adults founded in 1997 to provide volunteer assistance and support for nonprofits engaged in charitable, philanthropic, and environmental service activities.
