Southtown Sparkle: Van Liew’s Home & Garden

Appropriately for this time of year, the Southtown Beautification Committee selected Van Liew’s Home & Garden, 7347 Prospect, as the May Sparkle in Southtown. In business for more than 82 years, the Van Liew family has owned and operated the business for three generations.

Within the past year, the showroom was completely updated with new flooring, the addition of copper color tones to the concrete floors, and newly painted walls. Now customers can get a better idea of how to incorporate garden items and home décor into their own homes and gardens. Owners David and Louise Van Liew and Michelle Van Liew Smith invite you to “come in and see our brand new showroom. We are so proud of it!”

Van Liew’s carries a large variety of merchandise year round with more than 150 different styles of planters, more than 150 kinds of running fountains, dozens of birdbaths, and hundreds of statues from animals to gnomes to Grecian statues. All of the fountains are hooked up and running. Van Liew says, “We believe a customer needs to hear and see the fountains operating, since this is the reason a customer buys a fountain!” The store offers a delivery and installation service along with service to repair customer’s existing fountains and statuary.

Congratulations to Van Liew’s. Thanks for your many years of service and for the continuing reinvestment being made in Southtown.
