Spooky Fun at the Wornall House Museum and Alexander Majors House

Forget the zombies, gore and ghouls of the “scare” houses downtown and go on a tour of real haunted houses. Hear true stories of contact with the other side. Need even more excitement? Join real paranormal investigators in two homes built in the 1850’s and see if you can see a Civil War ghost yourself. Both the John Wornall House Museum and Alexander Majors House Museum can give you these thrills and chills.

Ghost Tours at the John Wornall House: oct 14, 15, 21, 22 6-9 p.m., $15/person: Take a lantern tour through the John Wornall House and hear about frequent ghost sightings and strange events. Roast a marshmallow around the fire in the yard, and on October 21 and 22; hear Civil War ghost stories with the Missouri Irish Brigade, Civil War re-enactors. This one is ok for brave kids. Tours start on the hour and typically fill up quick. reservations strongly recommended.

Paranormal Investigations at the John Wornall House Museum: Oct 14, 15, 21, 22 10 p.m. - 1.a.m, $50/person: Stay in the house and do a real paranormal investigation with MO Paranormal Society. Learn how to use their equipment, ask questions, and actually try to detect paranormal evidence. Also, receive a tote bag and other goodies. This one is ok for young teens (with parent, as long as they are able to sit quietly in a room) older teens, and adults. Reservations are required and are very limited.

Paranormal Investigation at the Alexander Majors House Museum: Oct. 21 7 p.m. - 1.a.m, $50/person: Our first public ghost event in this location! Join Elite Paranormal of KC and learn how to do a paranormal investigation.
You will be instructed on the best methods, do a ghost “box session” and attempt to record EVP’s.
