The Waldo Area Business Association Property Committee selected Dr. John W. Turley's storefront properties in the 200 west block of 75th Street for the June Waldo's Best award. Special Note: After graduating from Southern College of Optometry in 1954, Dr. John J. Turley started his practice in Waldo that same year. He is currently a member of the American Optometric Association, the Missouri Optometric Association, and the Optometric Society of Greater Kansas City. He has also been and still is very active in the Waldo Business Association, having served on almost every committee and in various board positions including President.
