Thank you Kansas City, Missouri Residents!

As the Kansas City Zoo continues its ZOOtennial anniversary celebration, Kansas City, Mo. residents are invited to explore their city’s award-winning Zoo with complimentary admission during October and November, 2009.

Kansas City, Mo. residents get free admission by visiting the Zoo during regular business hours in October and November. With only a photo identification and proof of residency, which can be established with a utility or other bill depicting a KCMO address, guests will get to experience the 202 acres nestled inside valleys and rolling hills.

New at the Zoo this year - the Tropics, an indoor, climate-controlled, jungle environment. A vast transformation of the original 1909 Zoo building has created a remarkable home for exotic animals and plants, featuring a glass-enclosed bridge where Asian Small-Clawed Otters swim beneath visitor’s feet and gibbons apes can swing on vines overhead.

The complimentary admission is offered in recognition of the ongoing partnership between the Kansas City Zoo, the Kansas City Parks and Recreation Department and the City of Kansas City, Mo.
