Art from the Barber's View

Have you visited the EthnicArt Gallery on Troost Ave? Originally located in the 18th and Vine District, the gallery found new life at 5930 Troost Ave on the second floor of the IMG building after a major renovation of the 1700 square foot space.

Currently at the EthnicArt Gallery are photography by Gloria Baker Feinstein and paintings by Harold Smith. The exhibit continues through June 20, 2014.

Feinstein’s display features photographs of various barber shops along Troost Avenue. On her daily blog found on her website http://gloriainafrica.blogspot.com/, it states that she enjoyed talking to the various barbers and their customers she photographed for this project. Some of the photographs featured can be seen on her blog site.

Take some time and stop by the EthnicArt Gallery, open daily from 12 noon to 6pm.
