Kansas City Police are asking residents to stop leaving their cars running unattended because it makes them an easy target for thieves. From Nov. 1 to Dec. 18, 2009, one-fifth of cars stolen in the city had been left running unattended.
Niece’s Restaurant, 6441 Troost Ave., has opened and is going strong! Owners Perry and Denise Ward have worked hard over the year(s) giving the old vacant Pizza Hut a new look. After gutting the interior, new booths, counter tops, kitchen, bathrooms, lighting, and interior décor were installed. On the outside, you can see the new signage, lighting, and landscaping.
The annual membership letters and invoices should be landing in your mailbox soon. We certainly appreciate the support of our 280 plus member organizations. As we begin the New Year, everyone’s support is needed to continue working to make Southtown an even better place to live, work, and do business!
