The 2017 Kansas City Marathon will take place Saturday, October 21, between 7:00 AM and 1:00 PM. This great event may create delays for many of our Southtown area, Brookside and Troost businesses and neighborhoods, so we encourage you to plan ahead and be patient. We also encourage businesses to make employees and customers aware to avoid unnecessary frustration.
Hello everyone! I am Bre Hunter, a proud Kansas City, Missouri native. Currently I am a Speech Communications major with a theatre emphasis at Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi. It is truly a privilege and an honor to be serving with the Southtown Council this summer.
Earlier this year, HCA Midwest Health announced a $93 million investment from HCA Healthcare. The investment includes $23 million for Research Medical Center (RMC). “This new investment allows us to continue to provide high-quality and highly specialized care focused on complex, critical patients, close to home,” says Jackie DeSouza-Van Blaricum, RMC Chief Executive Officer.
Southtown Council and The Troost Avenue Community Improvement District are proud of the Cleaver Family YMCA and all they have done in the community for the last 10 years.
